Anger

I've been told that anger is our reaction to present day circumstances. However, I am angry for past things as well. But then I am told this is a resentment because it's in the past.

What I think I am feeling is wanting revenge. However I know spritually to carry out an action like this is not acceptable or appropriate for my recovery behavior.

However, I can be honest and admit it. That is progress in itself. I can trust my higher power to take care of the things that need to be righted that have happened in the past.

I must deal with the feelings, my choices, my thoughts in the present.

Today I have the tools, the resources to have a conversation internally and discuss the situation. We can make a plan to deal with the anger in a healthy manner.

We can draw it out. We can work it out, by exercising. We can talk it out. We just must get it out and let go so that we can spend our energy in a more postive manner, as the anger makes us very tired.
